Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • six months experience in fresh production area
  • successful completion of all job required trainings and assessments within prescribed time period if hired
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • adherence to company policies and ethical standards
  • capacity to follow food safety and sanitation guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • six months experience in fresh production area
  • experience in cake decorating preferred
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to operate bakery equipment and use decorating tools
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
  • proficiency with digital tools and handheld technology
  • ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • customer service orientation
  • ability to handle seasonal production demands

Job Duties

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams and educate associates on tools, tasks and resources
  • communicate and develop interpersonal skills for customer service
  • maintain in-stock levels and control shrinkage
  • plan bakery production ensuring quality and accuracy of designs
  • decorate bakery items using various tools and techniques
  • ensure compliance with food safety standards and sanitation guidelines
  • operate, maintain and sanitize bakery equipment
  • leverage digital tools to improve sales and shopping experience
  • make immediate business decisions using handheld technology
  • drive bakery area performance by managing quality and date control standards
  • prepare for seasonal bakery volume increases
  • assist members with purchasing decisions and resolve issues
  • act as a brand ambassador, providing high quality service and interacting with associates
  • comply with company policies, procedures and ethical standards
  • complete assignments using company resources and collaborate with managers and coworkers
  • embrace diversity and foster a culture of belonging
  • build strong team relationships and communicate effectively
  • mentor and develop team members
