Job Duties
- Be a team member by collaborating with cross functional teams and educating associates on tools, tasks, and resources
- communicate and develop interpersonal skills for providing customer service
- be flexible to the needs of the business
- maintain in-stock levels
- control shrinkage
- Plan bakery productions ensuring consistency in quality and accuracy of bakery decorative designs
- follow recipe measurement instructions
- work with a variety of products such as decorating bags, tips, and nozzles to create decorative flowers and lettering on bakery items
- ensure adherence to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management
- operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment
- demonstrate understanding of product and layout execution
- leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement
- utilize handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality
- adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them
- drive the performance of the bakery area ensuring quality and date control standards
- eliminate waste
- prepare for seasonal events that impact bakery volume such as holidays, graduations, and family events
- identify member needs
- assist members with purchasing decisions
- resolve member issues and concerns
- be a brand advocate by valuing the member's experience in bakery and modeling high quality service and products
- interact with associates to understand roadblocks and assist in training
- develop, influence and inspire associates for working in a respectful, supportive and team oriented style
