Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • 6 months experience in bakery production department or supervising a team
  • ability to complete all required job training and assessments successfully within prescribed time
  • willingness to work in a fast-paced retail environment
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • physical ability to handle bakery production tasks
  • compliance with company policies including drug-free workplace policy

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 6 months experience in a bakery production department or supervising a team
  • knowledge of bakery operations and product preparation
  • ability to lead and train associates
  • familiarity with food safety standards
  • strong communication and teamwork skills
  • proficiency with digital tools and technology for business operations
  • leadership experience in a retail or food production environment
  • preferred qualifications include bakery production including decorating and food handler certification

Job Duties

  • Be a team leader by supervising the bakery team to achieve business plans and communicate goals
  • execute company programs and policies while advocating for members, associates, and the company
  • collaborate with other team leaders to meet member expectations
  • Maintain expertise by ensuring compliance with quality, inventory, equipment, production, safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards
  • share knowledge and train team members on new products and recipes
  • Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and enhance associate engagement
  • adopt new technology and encourage its use
  • Drive business results by maintaining operational excellence, cleanliness, safety, appropriate staffing, quality consistency, inventory accuracy, and compliance
  • produce and display merchandise according to plan
  • Serve as a talent ambassador by identifying training needs, developing skills, encouraging career growth, and sourcing new team members
  • Develop, communicate, and implement processes in collaboration with managers and business partners
  • monitor performance and identify improvement opportunities
  • Promote and support compliance with company policies, procedures, ethics, and integrity by guiding and demonstrating proper application
  • participate in teams by sharing resources and information, coordinating work, and supporting adaptation to change or new challenges
