Job Requirements
- Must maintain a valid state driver’s license and safe driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Four or more years of previous sales or business experience
- Excellent supervisory, customer service, problem solving, interpersonal, communication, and mentoring skills
- Good time management, administration, collaboration and organizational skills
- Ability to develop, refine, communicate and implement plans
- Industry and segment knowledge
- Ability to analyze and interpret data
- Strategic thinker with networking skills

Job Duties
- Provide development opportunities and mentoring to Customer Development Specialists
- Develop succession plans for the area managed
- Oversee development of business plans for territory and customers
- Assist with new account development and resolve serious customer concerns
- Collaborate with Regional Chain Managers, National Chain Managers, Category Specialists, and Customer Segment Leaders
- Review and analyze weekly and monthly reports to improve sales, margin, manage accounts receivable, and develop staff
- Conduct reviews of performance and modify plans to achieve goals
- Provide and monitor effectiveness of training programs for CDS
- Maintain visibility with key customers and participate in food shows, regional events, and customer trips
- Oversee development of targets for individual CDS and collaborate to meet regional and national business goals
- Manage expense recommendations during Annual Operating Planning process
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends through magazines and culinary organizations
- Interview, hire, train, and retain sales staff
- Conduct performance monitoring and disciplinary actions in consultation with Human Resources
- Mentor, motivate, and develop sales staff
- Perform other duties as assigned
