Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field or 4 or more years of management experience in human resources
  • Prior gaming or hospitality experience strongly preferred

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Recommend modifications to existing practices to the VP of HR and Exec Team based on changing environments or organizational needs
  • Ensure management adherence to existing policies and procedures
  • Facilitate proper resolutions to situations involving complaints, policy and procedure violations and interpersonal conflict
  • Investigate complaints of harassment or misconduct
  • Resolve situations to appropriate conclusions involving all related parties
  • Make recommendations to managers on appropriate corrective action based on written policies and procedures and circumstances of specific situations
  • Prepare documentation for separation of employment review by VPHR and/or President
  • Conduct exit interviews to identify causes of team member dissatisfaction and terminations
  • Develop new and creative reporting on exit interviews data
  • Coach and counsel management and team members to ensure fair treatment and positive communication
  • Conduct team member separation meetings with departmental management
  • Manage and facilitate the Board of Review Appeal process
  • Oversee Performance Management process including annual appraisals and Performance Action Plans
  • Assist management with performance documentation
  • Supervise HR Specialist and HR Coordinator
  • Select, train, coach, counsel, appraise, and retain direct reports
  • Notify management or Ethics Hotline of illegal acts or ethics violations
  • Partner with management to identify training needs and deliver training
  • Apply leadership and management skills to training functions
  • Improve training staff facilitation and methodologies
  • Ensure training aligns with business needs
  • Develop creative recruiting strategies to find and place qualified candidates
  • Collaborate with leadership to understand recruitment needs
  • Stay current with recruiting tools such as social media and candidate retention technologies
  • Anticipate and plan recruitment needs and timelines
  • Screen and interview candidates
  • Perform reference checks
  • Ensure expedient filling of requisitions with top-tier, guest service driven candidates
  • Ensure streamlined recruitment process
  • Perform other duties as assigned
