Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years progressive food preparation experience or culinary arts degree or accredited apprenticeship with 4 years progressive experience including 1 year supervisory experience
- excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

Job Duties
- Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to choose Hard Rock Tejon for gaming entertainment
- actively builds and retains guest relations
- acts as a mentor to team members to provide superior guest service
- hires, trains, motivates, evaluates and supervises staff
- establishes and maintains training and development procedures to ensure superior guest service standards
- maintains department objectives, standards, guidelines and budget
- monitors food purchasing, staffing, food preparation and inventory to control food and labor costs and waste
- monitors and evaluates food preparation by observing cooking techniques and tasting results
- assists in menu development to ensure variety and quality
- monitors and advises on food storage compliance with health requirements
- assists Executive Chef on a relief basis
- operates and maintains kitchen equipment
- performs other duties as assigned
