Job Description
The Student Conservation Association (SCA) is a reputable nonprofit organization dedicated to developing the next generation of conservation leaders by providing hands-on environmental service opportunities. SCA focuses on engaging young people in meaningful, practical work that supports the stewardship and restoration of natural resources and public lands across the United States. With a mission to inspire conservation action, promote environmental awareness, and foster career readiness, the SCA partners with public land agencies and other organizations to put young people to work on vital conservation projects that also serve as educational experiences.

Job Requirements
- Ability to perform manual, physical labor for up to 8 hours per day, exposed to the elements, and must occasionally lift and/or move 40 pounds or more
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- Must have the ability to legally work in the US
- Must be able to meet SCA's criminal background check standards
Job Qualifications
- Experience working outdoors
- Experience working on a team
Job Duties
- Work collaboratively with team members and SCA partners and staff completing designated work projects
- Learn and develop skills such as tool usage, carpentry, trail work, and general park maintenance
- Participate in outdoor conservation field work and nature stewardship opportunities
- Power wash and paint campsite restrooms and other park structures
- Assemble and repair picnic tables
- Remove invasive plants and clear downed branches and debris from camping areas
- Maintain trails through corridor clearing, trail blazing, and removal of obstructions near culverts
