Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a similar role within upscale or high-volume dining
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong communication skills
  • Physical stamina to perform job duties, including lifting and standing for extended periods
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and a polished appearance

Job Duties

  • Serve as the final point of quality control for all dishes leaving the kitchen
  • Ensure each plate is properly garnished, free of imperfections, and meets the restaurant's high standards for presentation
  • Deliver food orders to the correct guests and tables in a timely and professional manner using proper carrying techniques
  • Announce each dish to the guest, briefly describing the components and preparation method
  • Address any special guest requests or dietary restrictions and communicate them effectively to the kitchen
  • Maintain clear communication with kitchen staff and service team
  • Relay guest feedback, concerns, or special instructions to appropriate team members
  • Assist servers in managing the pace of meal service
  • Support service staff by refilling water glasses, clearing plates, and bussing tables
  • Ensure service stations are clean, organized, and fully stocked
  • Assist in setting and resetting tables with correct utensils and linens
  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
