Job Requirements

  • Some bartending experience required
  • Basic knowledge of beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages
  • Ability to obtain any government required license or certificate
  • Bartending certificate or license required
  • Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a register
  • Basic English language writing skills necessary for completion of requisitions balance sheets and vouchers and to communicate with guests and take orders
  • Sufficient manual dexterity in hands in order to use a knife to make garnishes pick up glassware and bottles scoop ice mix drinks and reach overhead to retrieve stock
  • Ability to remember recite and promote a variety of menu items
  • Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods of time
  • Ability to operate a keyboard and perform point of sale procedures to pre-check an order and close out a check
  • Must be able to work a varied schedule to include days evenings weekends holidays and the ability to work under pressure

Job Qualifications

  • Proficiency in operating a keyboard and POS system
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules including days evenings weekends and holidays
  • Ability to work under pressure

Job Duties

  • Set up the bar daily ensuring proper stocking of beer wine spirits paper goods straws stirrers condiments and produce based on daily function projections
  • Cut prepare and store fresh fruit garnishes juices and other perishables each shift to maintain peak quality
  • Greet guests warmly take and record drink orders and prepare beverages to standard recipes with proper garnish and portion control
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bar area following personal hygiene standards
  • Accurately track all products served using the POS system and consumption documentation
  • Accurately balance the POS system at the end of each shift
  • Comply with all state federal and corporate liquor laws including those regarding service to minors and intoxicated guests
  • Perform other duties as assigned
