Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent or one year of previous job experience in lieu of diploma
  • Six months of experience for senior level candidates
  • Completion of one annual contribution from options such as hospital/department committee participation, departmental project involvement, peer interviewer role, or onboarding/precepting responsibilities
  • Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Act 34 clearance
  • Desire, drive, and compassion to provide exceptional patient and family experience at all times

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Six months of experience as a Patient & Family Concierge or equivalent for senior level
  • Demonstrated competency in all responsibilities of the Patient & Family Concierge role
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate and service-oriented attitude
  • Basic knowledge of hospital environment preferred

Job Duties

  • Greet and assist patients and visitors, offering directions and escorting as needed
  • Deliver meals, water, and nourishments to patient rooms
  • Transport patients and essential equipment or specimens throughout the facility
  • Restock supplies, organize common areas, and support room readiness
  • Answer phones, respond to call lights under supervision, and round hourly to assess patient needs
  • Assist with unit-specific non-clinical tasks, including paperwork distribution and maintaining family lounges
  • Follow written and verbal instructions
