Job Requirements
- High school graduate or GED
- One year of previous related food service experience
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Completion of Safe Driving training
- Availability to occasionally work evenings, weekends, and travel when necessary

- Banquet experience preferred
- Working knowledge of CaterTrax preferred
- Ability to lead and motivate event teams and volunteers
- Proven experience managing multiple projects with strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Competence in working with university executives, administrators, deans, department chairmen, and external constituencies
Job Duties
- Manage, oversee, and execute official UTMB catered events including direct supervision of personnel and temporary staff
- Coordinate with the kitchen for timely pick-up and delivery to multiple locations using available transportation
- Manage the coordination, ordering, and delivery of floor stocks and supplies for all UTMB campus Special Use Facilities and planned events
- Ensure all items are delivered as requested by customers using problem-solving resolution with kitchen and temporary staffing
- Maintain proper food temperatures according to department policy and notify management if equipment is malfunctioning
- Demonstrate correct usage of utensils and portion control according to procedures
- Ensure attractive garnishing and food display as per department standards
- Supervise temporary staff to provide set-up, service, and clean-up for multiple events at multiple locations
- Oversee facility oversight during special events coordinating with Police, Maintenance, and facility management departments
- Perform related duties as required
