Job Requirements
- Completion of some high school or equivalent courses
- No prior experience required, on-the-job training provided
- Active and unexpired CPR certification
Job Qualifications
- Completion of some high school or equivalent courses
- Active and unexpired CPR certification
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Certified Nursing Assistant preferred
- Familiarity and willingness to work with elderly population
- Previous elder care experience preferred
Job Duties
- Assist with toileting, ambulation, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, escorting, and transferring residents
- Understand and follow the resident's interim service plan and report any changes immediately
- Notify Resident Care Coordinator, Administrator, or Health Services Director of resident condition changes
- Assist in the dining room during meal times including setup, serving, and cleanup
- Help residents attend scheduled activities and appointments
- Deliver and restock incontinent supplies
- Perform housekeeping duties including dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, and mopping
- Take accurate vital signs and weights
- Respond to call lights promptly
- Maintain responsibility for pagers, keys, and radios and sign them in and out each shift
- Report incidents and complete incident reports as needed
- Assist and cover for receptionist as directed
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in resident apartments
- Use and demonstrate proper technique with care equipment as directed
