Job Requirements

  • Completion of some high school or equivalent courses
  • No prior experience required, on-the-job training provided
  • Active and unexpired CPR certification

Job Qualifications

  • Completion of some high school or equivalent courses
  • Active and unexpired CPR certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Certified Nursing Assistant preferred
  • Familiarity and willingness to work with elderly population
  • Previous elder care experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Assist with toileting, ambulation, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, escorting, and transferring residents
  • Understand and follow the resident's interim service plan and report any changes immediately
  • Notify Resident Care Coordinator, Administrator, or Health Services Director of resident condition changes
  • Assist in the dining room during meal times including setup, serving, and cleanup
  • Help residents attend scheduled activities and appointments
  • Deliver and restock incontinent supplies
  • Perform housekeeping duties including dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, and mopping
  • Take accurate vital signs and weights
  • Respond to call lights promptly
  • Maintain responsibility for pagers, keys, and radios and sign them in and out each shift
  • Report incidents and complete incident reports as needed
  • Assist and cover for receptionist as directed
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in resident apartments
  • Use and demonstrate proper technique with care equipment as directed
