Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year experience in environmental services in healthcare, hospitality, or contract cleaning service
  • Capability to perform routine housekeeping duties
  • Ability to respond to emergency cleaning calls
  • Compliance with infection control and safety standards
  • Willingness to undergo respiratory fit testing as per occupational health and safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • One year experience in environmental services in healthcare, hospitality, or contract cleaning service
  • Preferred prior hospital experience in environmental services and housekeeping
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of standard infection control procedures

Job Duties

  • Performs cleaning duties in assigned areas daily according to standard operating and approved infection control procedures
  • Demonstrates ownership for responsibilities in assigned zone and other designated areas
  • Demonstrates accountability for customer service and professional behavior through personal work ethic, teamwork, and effective communication skills
  • If assigned, locates, visually inspects, tests functionality, and cleans patient equipment
  • Transports patients safely to and from designated areas
  • Picks up and delivers unit specimen, items, and supplies as needed
  • Responds to emergency calls for cleanup of spills promptly and effectively
