Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year experience in environmental services in healthcare, hospitality, or contract cleaning service
- Capability to perform routine housekeeping duties
- Ability to respond to emergency cleaning calls
- Compliance with infection control and safety standards
- Willingness to undergo respiratory fit testing as per occupational health and safety standards
Job Qualifications
- One year experience in environmental services in healthcare, hospitality, or contract cleaning service
- Preferred prior hospital experience in environmental services and housekeeping
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of standard infection control procedures
Job Duties
- Performs cleaning duties in assigned areas daily according to standard operating and approved infection control procedures
- Demonstrates ownership for responsibilities in assigned zone and other designated areas
- Demonstrates accountability for customer service and professional behavior through personal work ethic, teamwork, and effective communication skills
- If assigned, locates, visually inspects, tests functionality, and cleans patient equipment
- Transports patients safely to and from designated areas
- Picks up and delivers unit specimen, items, and supplies as needed
- Responds to emergency calls for cleanup of spills promptly and effectively
