Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Relevant experience in clerical or healthcare support preferred
- Successful completion of orientation program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 60 days
- Ability to work variable shifts including some weekends
- Compliance with drug-free workplace policies
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and data security
- Willingness to assist with patient care activities as delegated
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of relevant experience preferred
- Successful completion of competency-based orientation program
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross within 60 days of employment
- Ability to work variable hours and weekends
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
Job Duties
- Greet and direct guests in a welcoming manner
- Perform computer entry, schedule tests and procedures, process orders
- Maintain patient charts by labeling, assembling, filing, distributing reports, maintaining chart order, and reassembling upon discharge
- Record patient charges for services and supplies utilized
- Collect, monitor, and audit quality improvement data and reports as assigned
- Maintain inventory of materials, forms and supplies and restock according to unit standards
- Maintain a clean work environment and unit equipment, facilitate repairs as needed
- Assist with patient care activities under supervision including transporting patients and passing waters
- Demonstrate high standards of moral and ethical behavior and advocate for privacy and confidentiality of data
