Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Customer service and clerical experience
- AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certification
- Ability to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Ability to interact professionally with diverse populations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- Ability to use computer applications and electronic medical record systems

Job Duties
- Serve as department receptionist, receiving and transmitting messages (personal, telephone, computer) or inquiries to the appropriate destination
- Responsible for (or assist with) data input using EMR, staffing and charge capture systems, electronic bedboard, charge entry and charge reconciliation
- Perform other general administrative duties as required (e.g., emails, filing, ordering supplies, etc.)
- Stock nurse servers in patient rooms and specialty carts or areas routinely
- Assist in maintenance of equipment as needed
- Order departmental non-medical supplies as needed
- Assist with maintenance of scheduling and various operational processes as directed by Supervisor/Manager
- Setup/cancel patient appointments as directed
- Transport patients, blood, specimens and other items as needed
- Answer call lights as needed
- Demonstrate awareness of and support organizational goals through participation in quality improvement and departmental activities
- Participate in professional growth and development activities
- Communicate effectively and maintain professional relationships with caregivers, medical staff, patients, and guests
- Identify and implement solutions to work-related problems within scope of practice
- Participate in creating a healing environment supporting patient and caregiver well-being
- Support organization’s vision, mission, and values in all respects
- Adhere to Value Improvement Practice (VIP-Lean) principles as a champion of change
- Ensure a safe environment for caregivers, patients, and guests
