Job Requirements

  • one-year experience utilizing clerical, computer and receptionist skills
  • knowledge of medical terminology
  • excellent telephone and interpersonal skills
  • ability to maintain professional demeanor
  • ability to follow instructions and work quickly and accurately
  • capable of using computers for support functions
  • organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • ability to fulfill essential functions of the position

Job Qualifications

  • one-year experience utilizing clerical, computer and receptionist skills
  • knowledge of medical terminology
  • excellent telephone and interpersonal skills
  • strong analytical and grammatical skills
  • ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • ability to work independently and multitask
  • experience in a nursing unit or hospital environment preferred

Job Duties

  • act as receptionist for the emergency unit
  • serve as unit liaison between nursing and medical staff
  • perform secretarial duties to support smooth department operations
  • prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • maintain a friendly and cooperative demeanor with patients and staff
  • communicate effectively with physicians, staff, and patients
  • establish and maintain an orderly work environment
