Job Qualifications

- Basic computer and electronic medical record entry skills
- Basic medical terminology knowledge
- Preferred less than 1 year clinical experience in acute care setting
Job Duties
- Provide excellence in customer service by partnering with healthcare team, patient and family
- Protect rights and dignity of patient at all times
- Maintain patient charts and scan documents into electronic medical record
- Facilitate patient admission, transfer and discharge
- Track bed activity and notify housekeeping of patient discharge
- Participate in unit flow management during code situations
- Support healthcare team initiatives and participate in interdisciplinary rounds as scribe
- Perform charge and staffing reconciliations
- Complete and submit supply requisitions and stock deliveries
- Place orders for durable medical equipment
- Participate in unit performance improvement initiatives
- Use effective written and oral communication with patients, staff, physicians, and visitors
- Maintain computer and IT equipment and report malfunctions
- Act as liaison between patients and diagnostic areas and update information
- Facilitate data recovery during downtime
- Communicate patient care issues to registered nurses
- Practice consistent infection control and safety measures
- Perform environment of care rounds
- Comply with Wellstar policies and code of conduct
