Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous clerical or administrative experience
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work Monday to Friday 8am to 4 30pm with holiday rotation
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Reliable and punctual
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in clerical or administrative roles preferably in healthcare
- Proficiency with office equipment and basic computer applications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and accurately
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Ability to work under supervision and follow instructions
- Familiarity with resident care procedures is a plus
Job Duties
- Monitor facility access with video camera intercom system security alarms Wanderguard and fire alarms
- Check and sign for deliveries to the nursing home and coordinate pickup with appropriate departments
- Assist in monitoring wandering residents and redirecting them to the unit
- Greet direct and provide information to residents staff families and visitors
- Answer telephone relay messages and requests to unit personnel provide appropriate information and transfer calls
- Assist with resident transfers and admissions
- Schedule x-rays and lab work
- Transcribe physicians orders under supervision of RN or Resident Care Nurse
- Assist with in-house room changes completing necessary documentation and notifications
- Organize charts and paperwork for physician appointments and visits
- Schedule and arrange transportation for residents appointments coordinate family or staff accompaniment
- Maintain inventory of clerical and office supplies on unit
- Prepare documentation sheets including medication treatment doctor sheets resident care lists
- Maintain resident charts and physician appointments
- Work with consultant HIMS annually and as needed
