Job Duties
- Performs a variety of clerical duties to support patient care process
- functions as a receptionist for the unit
- orders and maintains adequate supplies for the unit
- facilitates physician orders including ordering tests, diets, lab work, and charges via computer
- maintains patient's paper chart
- greets patients, visitors, physicians, etc.
- utilizes telephone etiquette and responds to phone inquiries meeting customer services expectations
- uses computer knowledge to perform data entry, graphs, memos, etc.
- maintains clean and safe work environment
- participates in Continuous Quality Improvement as appropriate
