Job Requirements

  • Completion of approved Unit Clerk course
  • current CNA certification
  • current AHA BLS certification within 30 days of employment
  • experience in healthcare setting preferred
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • strong organizational skills
  • ability to work effectively with the public
  • knowledge of medical records and documentation
  • computer proficiency

Job Qualifications

  • Completion of approved Unit Clerk course
  • current CNA certification
  • current AHA BLS certification within 30 days of employment
  • one year experience in equivalent position in healthcare preferred
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • excellent organizational skills
  • knowledge of medical records procedures and long-term care documentation management
  • computer literate

Job Duties

  • Serve as unit receptionist
  • transcribe physician orders
  • order necessary tests
  • order and monitor supply inventory
  • coordinate unit phone communication
  • transport patients
  • stock shelves and clean work areas
  • maintain medical records according to standard
  • report observations regarding patient status to nurses
  • provide care for adult patients over 13 years of age
