Union Kitchen, located in the vibrant community of West Hartford, Connecticut, is seeking a dedicated and skilled server to become an integral part of our hospitality team. Job Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk and lift heavy items for extended periods of time

Job Duties
- Greet customers as they are seated at the table
- Ensure the table is clean and that utensils, napkins, and other needs have been provided
- Present menu to guests and answer questions about menu items, beverages, and other restaurant functions and services as needed
- Inform guests of any menu changes and daily specials, and make recommendations you genuinely feel your guests will enjoy
- Take food and beverage orders and deliver them to the kitchen
- Deliver food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items to customers
- Ensure that food is prepared correctly and to customers satisfaction
- Return incorrect or improperly cooked orders to kitchen
- Collect plates and clear the table as customers finish their meals
- Prepare customers checks and collect payments
- Assist with other restaurant tasks such as cleaning the dining area and preparing silverware and condiments
- Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guests' needs and support the operation of the restaurant
