Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- must have legal right to work in the United States
- reliable means of communication and transportation
- willingness to obtain Nevada Guard Card upon hire
- knowledge of or ability to learn security operations and procedures
- ability to carry out written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions
- ability to adapt to changing external environment and organization
- must be willing to complete GED program within six months if not already obtained
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- meet applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers
- ability to speak, read, and write English
- effective team member with courteous telephone manners
- good organizational skills
- ability to maintain professional composure in unusual circumstances
- willingness to participate in pre-employment screening including drug screen and background check
- ability to write routine correspondence and reports
Job Duties
- Observe and report activities and incidents at assigned client site
- control access to client site or facility through admittance process
- assist visitors with legitimate entry
- screen visitors and employees efficiently
- maintain courteous and respectful interaction with clients and visitors
- monitor entrances and exits to prevent unapproved entry
- patrol assigned site on foot or vehicle checking for hazards and unauthorized persons
- protect evidence or scene of incidents
- prepare logs or reports for site
- respond to emergencies including fire, medical, bomb threat, flooding, hazardous materials
- enforce property removal policies according to client standards
- carry out specific tasks required for assigned site
