Job Requirements
- Have one to two years of experience in high-end security, military, or law enforcement
- possess a valid guard card issued by the California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services
- complete 40 hours BSIS training courses and most recent annual refresher
- hold a GED or high school diploma or transcript, associate degree or some verifiable college preferred
- armed officers must have the California guard card with firearms permit, baton, and chemical agent certification
- ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
- possess excellent English verbal and written communication skills
- maintain a neat professional appearance
- have access to reliable transportation
- have a record of punctuality and integrity
- own a cell phone with text message and internet access plus an email address
- own black business suit, white button-down dress shirt, black tie, belt, socks, dress shoes or polished boots, and a small flashlight
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Preventing crime and violence
- providing customer service
- assisting with physical and personal security functions
- patrolling work sites on foot
- writing reports on daily activities and irregularities
- performing access control procedures
- investigating disturbances and answering alarms
- controlling crowds to maintain order and protect property
- responding to emergencies by notifying law enforcement or first responders
- conducting pat down and metal detector searches
- communicating and enforcing laws, policies, and codes
- interacting professionally with colleagues, clients, and visitors
- transitioning to armed security work upon qualification and shift availability
