Job Requirements
- One to two years of experience in high end security, military, or law enforcement
- Valid guard card issued by California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services
- Completion of 40 hours BSIS training courses and most recent annual refresher
- GED or High School Diploma
- Able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
- Excellent English verbal and written skills
- Neat professional appearance
- Reliable transportation
- Be punctual and demonstrate integrity
- Have a cell phone with texting and internet access
- Own required professional attire including black business suit, white button down dress shirt, black tie, belt, socks, dress shoes or polished boots, and a small flashlight
- Armed officers must possess California Guard Card, firearms permit, baton, and chemical agent certification
Job Qualifications
- One to two years of experience in high-end security, military, or law enforcement

- BSIS permit for armed officers
- Firearms permit, baton, and chemical agent certification for armed roles

Job Duties
- Prevent crime and violence through vigilant security measures
- Assist in physical and personal security and safety of clients
- Patrol work site on foot for the duration of the shift as instructed
- Write detailed reports on daily activities and irregularities
- Perform access control by monitoring entrance and departure of personnel
- Investigate disturbances and respond to alarms
- Circulate among visitors and employees to maintain order and protect property
- Respond to emergencies by contacting law enforcement or first responders
- Conduct pat down and metal detector searches
- Enforce applicable laws, policies, and codes
- Interact professionally with supervisors, clients, visitors, and colleagues
- Perform unarmed security duties with possibility of armed roles if qualified and approved
