The MT Army National Guard, specifically the LA Army Aviation Support Facility (LAASF), is seeking an experienced UH-60 Flight Instructor (Safety) to join its ranks in a Title 32 Excepted Service Bargaining Unit position. Job Requirements
- Must be military grade CW2 to CW4
- Must have FAA or accredited military aviation certifications
- Must submit FAA or military aviation certifications with application
- Must have DA Form 759 showing completion of Instructor Pilot Course
- Must submit DA Form 759 with application
- Must have at least one year experience in next lower grade or comparable rank
- Must possess two years specialized experience in military aviation operations
- Must have high school diploma or GED
- Must be willing to comply with Title 32 excepted service regulations
Job Qualifications
- Military grade CW2 to CW4
- Federal Aviation Administration certifications or military aviation certifications
- Completion of Army Instructor Pilot Course with DA Form 759 (1059)
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum two years specialized experience in military flight operations and instruction
- Proficient knowledge of flight theory, air navigation, meteorology, mission tactics, and safety procedures
Job Duties
- Conduct flight instruction for UH-60 helicopter pilots emphasizing safety and mission readiness
- Develop and implement training plans and policies for flight crews
- Review and analyze mission taskings, intelligence, and weather information to prepare flight plans
- Supervise and evaluate flight operations, ensuring compliance with aviation safety regulations
- Conduct crew briefings and debriefings regarding mission objectives and flight safety
- Perform and supervise preflight inspections, aircraft loading, and equipment assessments
- Monitor and enforce unit flying, explosive, and ground safety programs according to military and OSHA standards
