Job Requirements
- Completion of a four-year technical degree or trade school equivalency
- Five or more years experience in UAV operation or aviation
- Detailed understanding of UAV and FAA principles, theories and concepts
- Minimum of five hundred hours in a UGCS with at least fifty hours as Gray Eagle Aircraft Commander
- Graduate of DA or DES IO Course
- Ability to maintain a FAA Class II flight physical
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
- Ability to work extended hours and travel as required
- Familiarity with Army forms, records, and publications and Contractor Flight and Ground Operations procedures and records
- Highly desired but not required: experience operating and/or instructing Gray Eagle Extended Range platform
- Desired but not required: FAA Private Pilot Certificate with current instrument rating and ability to maintain certificate and instrument currency
- Desired but not required: strong background working with Universal Mission Simulator and UGCS Embedded Trainer / Mission Server.

Job Duties
- Act as an instructor operator for GA-ASI, training and evaluating contractor personnel and Army operators on the Gray Eagle Unmanned Aircraft System including sustainment training, upgrade training, standardization flight evaluations, no notice evaluations, and refresher training
- Coordinate and actively participate in ground and flight operations efforts including mission planning, execution and briefing, debriefing, aircrew resource management and safety
- May remotely pilot vehicles to determine compliance with specification and operational suitability during flight test or demonstration support through prescribed tests and maneuvers
- Ensure compliance with service guidance, company policy and procedures and Federal Aviation Administration regulations
- Develop and verify procedures for use with new aircraft features and participate in the development of operational and safety procedures and training syllabus courseware
- Observe all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the company
- Work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices
- Perform additional functions and other duties as assigned or required
- Maintain familiarity with Army forms, records, and publications and Contractor Flight and Ground Operations procedures and records (DCMA 8210).
