Job Requirements
- United Aviate graduates only
- FAA CFI, CFII, MEI certification (if not United Aviate Pathway participant)
- Medical Class 3
- 1+ years experience as a flight instructor
- 2+ years experience in a leadership role
- Strong understanding of 14 CFR and FSIMS 8900 regulations
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and aviation scheduling systems
- Ability to work full-time including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- United Aviate Pathway participation preferred but not required
- 1+ years’ experience as a flight instructor
- 2+ years’ experience in a leadership role
- Extensive understanding of 14 CFR, FSIMS 8900, and other regulations pertaining to aviation
- FAA CFI, CFII, MEI (if not in United Aviate Pathway)
- Medical Class 3
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (i.e., Aviation, or Business Administration)
- Gold Seal CFI, Master CFI or equivalent certifications preferred
- Excellent listening, oral and written communications skills
- Customer service oriented
- Strong problem solving and analysis skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, and aviation scheduling systems
- Knowledge of Aviation regulations, policies, procedures, and best practices
- Knowledge of United Airlines policies, procedures, and standards
- Ability to think strategically and translate concepts into actionable items
- Courage to make key decisions and advise leadership with professionalism & poise
- Comfortable working in ambiguous situations
- Strong ability to use data & analytics

Job Duties
- Maintain student training records in accordance with 14 CFR Part 141 and United Aviate Academy policies
- Maintain training standard as set forth by FAA regulations United Aviate policies
- Ensure that course standards, training requirements and objectives are met by all assigned students as required by the Training Course Outline
- Report on student progress and accurately maintains and updates all appropriate records
- Recommend and develops curriculum and courseware improvements when appropriate
- Maintain safe, caring, dependable and efficient culture with students, fellow instructors, and staff
- Perform other related duties and assignments as required
- Must be able to work full-time, nights, weekends, and holiday schedules
