Job Requirements
- Four-year college degree, preferably in Radio or Media Production or the equivalent work experience
- Experience as a broadcast producer and/or assistant
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills
- Ability to generate original ideas and think creatively
- Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, evenings, and weekends
- Knowledge of studio equipment
- Ability to build rapport and gather information
- Knowledge of broadcasting laws and regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms
- Writing sample required
Job Qualifications
- Experience as a broadcast producer and/or assistant
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills, meticulous attention to detail and the ability to tailor and adapt content for different audiences and platforms
- Ability to generate original ideas, and to think creatively about how to communicate them to different audiences
- Comprehensive knowledge of news and weather
- Flexibility to work morning and evening or different weekend hours as the work schedule changes frequently
- Knowledge of how to use a variety of studio equipment
- Ability to build rapport and draw information from people
- Full knowledge of the law, rules and industry regulations around broadcast production, know when it’s necessary, and how to acquire relevant clearances and licenses
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and social networking platforms
- Four-year college degree, preferably in Radio or Media Production or the equivalent work experience
- Writing sample is required
Job Duties
- Undertake key administrative responsibilities as well as assist in planning and producing traffic reports on live TV shows
- Generate original ideas, identify suitable ideas from others, and carry out thorough research
- Give direction to presenters, content providers, assistants and other crew members
- Manage budgets and ensure the efficient use of resources
- Monitor viewer emails, inquiries and responses related to shows
- Collaborate with presenters, performers or other program contributors, to perform quality assurance
- must meet established production standards, rules and regulations
- Use various broadcasting technologies such as maps, graphics, and editing/production software
