Job Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent experience
  • At least 6 months experience within the same or similar position
  • Ability to speak, read and write English and communicate with guests
  • Must be able to work all shifts including AM, PM, weekends and holidays
  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience in a hotel preferred

  • At least 6 months experience in a similar housekeeping or cleaning position, preferably within a hotel environment
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English to communicate effectively with guests
  • Ability to work all shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality service
  • Ability to work well within a team and contribute positively to the work environment

Job Duties

  • Clean a set number of occupied rooms during a shift
  • Remove used towels and replace them with clean ones
  • Wipe down wet surfaces in the bathroom
  • Fold and place clothing left in the room appropriately
  • Remove room service trays, dishes, and carts to service landings
  • Close drapes, reduce lighting, turn soft music on, and prepare beds
  • Prepare unoccupied rooms for turndown for arriving guests
  • Perform full room attendant duties in occupied and late check-out rooms when needed
  • Restock used amenities such as shampoo, lotion, cotton balls, stationery and pens
  • Assist with duties in the absence or high volume areas of lobby attendant, guestroom attendant, and house attendant
  • Uphold maintenance and safety standards
  • Perform daily opening and closing cleaning procedures
  • Ensure housekeeping carts and linen closets are stocked to par
  • Communicate customer requests or preferences to management
