Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience driving trucks commercially
  • Valid U.S. driver's license
  • Interstate Class A Commercial Driver's License
  • Driving record must pass Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) guidelines
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Available to work day and/or night shifts (second and/or third shift)
  • Ability to work rotating shifts as needed
  • Ability to work some overtime and weekends
  • Ability to work 10-12 hour shifts
  • 80% of shift time spent in vehicle
  • Must pass pre-employment, post-incident, and randomized drug testing in accordance with FMCSA requirements
  • Is at least 21 years of age
  • Must pass DOT physical
  • Meet all DOT qualifications

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of commercial truck driving experience
  • Valid U.S. driver's license
  • Interstate Class A Commercial Driver's License
  • Driving record must pass Motor Vehicle Report guidelines
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Available to work day and/or night shifts
  • Ability to work rotating shifts
  • Ability to work some overtime and weekends
  • Ability to work 10-12 hour shifts
  • Must pass pre employment, post incident, and randomized drug testing per FMCSA requirements
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Must pass DOT physical
  • Meet all DOT qualifications
  • Truck driver trainer or instructor experience is desirable
  • Truck technician experience is desirable
  • Inquisitive attitude and problem solving interest
  • Experience in operations, technology, customer service, or automotive fields is desirable
  • Experience working in collaborative environments
  • Proficient in G Suite
  • Command line interface experience
  • Interest and aptitude for technology tools such as apps, gaming, Adobe Creative Suite

Job Duties

  • Safely pilot autonomous semi trucks for on road and closed course testing in service of development and commercial pilot operations
  • Remain alert and attentive while monitoring the Aurora Driver during extended stretches of autonomy
  • Log real time feedback regarding autonomy and platform performance during testing to be delivered to engineers
  • Escalate operational blockers with suggested solutions
  • Demonstrate positive impact by working on cross functional projects as time permits
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of how self driving technology works including daily software and operational changes
  • Work toward quantitative and qualitative goals impacting vehicle operations and Aurora
  • Interact with the public as an ambassador for Aurora
