Job Requirements

  • Must have a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL)
  • Able to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs and pushing or pulling up to 100 lbs
  • Capable of climbing ladders and working from elevated platforms
  • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Must be able to conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Willing to perform basic maintenance and cleaning of the vehicle
  • Available to work flexible hours based on seasonal demand
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions
  • Reliable and self-motivated work ethic

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements
  • Proven experience driving heavy vehicles, preferably mixer trucks
  • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Mechanical aptitude for basic vehicle maintenance
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and maintain professionalism

Job Duties

  • Learn company safety programs and perform safe practices
  • Deliver ready mix concrete safely and efficiently from production sites to customer projects
  • Maintain good customer relations by acting in a professional and courteous manner
  • Be a team player and maintain a positive attitude with other team members
  • Communicate with dispatch, plant operators, other drivers, and customers to provide best-in-class service
  • Visually inspect the quality and consistency of concrete in the mixer truck
  • Perform pre and post trip inspections, report any issues to the maintenance department
  • Demonstrate reliable work ethic and self-motivation, ensure environmental and DOT requirements are followed
  • Assist with various plant operations such as general carpentry, maintenance, and mechanical work as needed
  • Monitor truck and company equipment to ensure proper operation and professional appearance
  • Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks such as adding oil, fuel, or coolant and minor repairs
  • Perform other related duties as required by supervisor
