Job Requirements
- Must have a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL)
- Able to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs and pushing or pulling up to 100 lbs
- Capable of climbing ladders and working from elevated platforms
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Must be able to conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Willing to perform basic maintenance and cleaning of the vehicle
- Available to work flexible hours based on seasonal demand
- Ability to understand and follow instructions
- Reliable and self-motivated work ethic
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements
- Proven experience driving heavy vehicles, preferably mixer trucks
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Mechanical aptitude for basic vehicle maintenance
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain professionalism
Job Duties
- Learn company safety programs and perform safe practices
- Deliver ready mix concrete safely and efficiently from production sites to customer projects
- Maintain good customer relations by acting in a professional and courteous manner
- Be a team player and maintain a positive attitude with other team members
- Communicate with dispatch, plant operators, other drivers, and customers to provide best-in-class service
- Visually inspect the quality and consistency of concrete in the mixer truck
- Perform pre and post trip inspections, report any issues to the maintenance department
- Demonstrate reliable work ethic and self-motivation, ensure environmental and DOT requirements are followed
- Assist with various plant operations such as general carpentry, maintenance, and mechanical work as needed
- Monitor truck and company equipment to ensure proper operation and professional appearance
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks such as adding oil, fuel, or coolant and minor repairs
- Perform other related duties as required by supervisor
