Job Requirements
- Valid Class A commercial driver’s license with Hazmat endorsement or ability to obtain within 120 days
- Minimum 30 months full-time Class A tractor/trailer driving experience within past 3 years or completion of Walmart Fleet Development Academy
- No more than two moving violations in last 3 years
- No serious traffic violations in last 3 years
- No preventable accidents in last 3 years
- No preventable DOT recordable accidents in last 10 years
- No preventable accident causing fatality or catastrophic injury
- Current residence within 250 miles of assigned facility or willingness to establish residence within 90 days
Job Qualifications
- Interstate (Class A) Commercial Driver’s License with Hazmat endorsement (or will obtain within 120 days)
- Minimum of 30 months experience in a full-time Class A tractor/trailer driving position in the past 3 years
- No more than two moving violations in the last 3 years while operating personal or commercial motor vehicle
- No serious traffic violations in the last 3 years while operating personal or commercial motor vehicle
- No preventable accidents while operating personal or commercial motor vehicle in the last 3 years
- No preventable DOT recordable accidents in the last 10 years
- No preventable accidents resulting in fatality or catastrophic injury in driving history
- Must live within 250 miles of the assigned facility or willing to relocate within 90 days
Job Duties
- Plan your day, set priorities, and work with your team to keep freight moving safely and on time
- Communicate clearly, solve problems as they come up, and adapt to changes on the road or in the plan
- Handle all required paperwork and electronic logs accurately and follow all DOT, state, and company guidelines
- Safely operate your tractor-trailer, inspecting it before, during, and after each trip to keep it in top shape
- Run optimized routes by following traffic laws and local restrictions to reduce delays and improve on-time delivery performance
- Uphold Walmart’s high standards of safety, integrity, and professionalism every mile of the way
