Job Requirements
- Class A Commercial Driver’s License with Hazmat endorsement or ability to obtain within 120 calendar days
- Minimum 30 months of experience in full-time Class A tractor/trailer driving position in previous three years
- No more than two moving violations in last three years
- No serious traffic violations in last three years
- No preventable accidents in last three years
- No preventable DOT recordable accidents in last ten years
- No preventable fatal or catastrophic accidents
- Must live within 250 miles of assigned facility or willing to relocate within 90 days
- Must pass background checks and comply with Walmart policies
Job Qualifications
- Interstate Class A Commercial Driver's License with Hazmat endorsement or willingness to obtain within 120 days
- Minimum 30 months of full-time Class A tractor/trailer driving experience in the last three years or completion of Walmart Fleet Development Academy
- Proven safe driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years
- No serious traffic violations in the past three years
- No preventable accidents in personal or commercial vehicles in the past three years
- No preventable DOT recordable accidents in commercial vehicles within the last ten years
- No preventable accident resulting in fatality or catastrophic injury
- Must live within 250 miles of the assigned facility or willing to relocate within 90 days
Job Duties
- Plan your day and set priorities to ensure safe, timely freight delivery
- Communicate clearly with team members and adapt to changes on the road or in plans
- Handle all required paperwork and electronic logs accurately while adhering to DOT, state, and company guidelines
- Safely operate tractor-trailers and conduct thorough inspections before, during, and after trips
- Follow optimized routes that comply with traffic laws and local restrictions to minimize delays
- Maintain Walmart’s standards of safety, integrity, and professionalism throughout all driving activities
- Participate in and adhere to company safety programs and protocols
