Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- valid Class A CDL license
- current non-excepted interstate DOT medical card or ability to obtain
- minimum 1 year documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years or 2 years in the last 5 years
- clean DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents for the last 3 years
- English language proficiency
- ability to work assignments as scheduled and required location
- pass background investigation including employment, education, and criminal history
- pass drug screening
- capability to work safely and maintain alertness in a safety-sensitive position
- ability to see, hear, stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle objects
- ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 100 lbs occasionally
- legal operation of a motor vehicle
Job Qualifications
- valid Class A CDL
- currently hold or ability to obtain a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
- 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years or 2 years in the last 5 years
- three years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
- English language proficiency
- ability to work required schedule and location
- completion of Penske employment application and background investigation including past employment, education, and criminal history
- ability to pass drug screening
- ability to work safely and be constantly alert in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations
Job Duties
- work at various dedicated accounts and shifts locally as needed
- perform multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to automotive dealerships
- unload trailer using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages
- use scanner to scan products as they are unloaded and delivered
- drive late model, Penske-maintained trucks equipped with safety features including inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras
- maintain safety standards at all times
- follow dispatch schedules that vary by assignment
