Job Requirements
- Must have a valid Class A CDL license
- Applicants must reside and be licensed in their state of residence
- Current or obtainable non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
- Minimum one year documented tractor-trailer driving experience within the last three years or two years in the last five years
- Clean DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents in the past three years
- Proficiency in English as required by 49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)
- Ability to adhere to scheduled work hours and location
- Completion of Penske employment application
- Successful background investigation including employment, education, and criminal history
- Drug screening clearance
- Ability to work safely and remain constantly alert as this position is regulated by DOT and safety sensitive
- Physical ability to operate motor vehicle, perform frequent vehicle entry and exit, and lift/move up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally
Job Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license
- Applicants must be domiciled and licensed in the U.S. state of residence
- Ability to obtain or currently hold a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
- Minimum 1 year documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years or 2 years in the last 5 years
- Clean DMV/MVR record with no more than two moving violations or accidents in the last 3 years
- Proficient in English as required by federal law
- Ability to comply with federal and state safety regulations
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to operate motor vehicle safely and maintain alertness
Job Duties
- Drive late model Freightliner and Volvo trucks, operate Penske Truck Leasing trucks designed for comfort and safety
- Follow multi-stop delivery routes and unload tires from trailers
- Accurately count and verify the exact number of tires delivered to each customer
- Perform 1 to 2 layovers per week as required
- Maintain compliance with safety protocols and company policies
- Represent Penske and clients professionally when interacting with customers
- Adhere to scheduled work hours with Sunday through Thursday AM dispatch
