Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 12 months tractor/trailer driving experience
- Valid CDL-A license
- Must be 21 years or older
- Meet all applicable state licensing or certification requirements
- Attain or currently hold valid DOT health card
- Ability to hand-lift and operate material handling equipment
- Capability to safely lift products generally ranging between 10 to 90 pounds
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- 12+ months tractor/trailer driving experience
- Valid CDL-A license
- Must be 21+ years of age
- Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements where applicable
- Valid current DOT health card or ability to secure new DOT health card
- Ability to hand-lift and use two-wheeler, lift gate, or other equipment for moving and stacking product cases/freight
Job Duties
- Perform all required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations
- Inspect tractor/truck and trailer to ensure compliance with company safety standards and take appropriate action as needed
- Report all safety issues and/or repairs required
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
- Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
- Perform count check of items and verify customer invoices of loaded products
- Complete all required paperwork associated with freight accurately and legibly
- Move tractor to loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed
- Drive and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule
- Unload products from trailer and transport items into designated customer storage areas
- Perform damage control checks on items, scan, and contact supervisor about order removals according to company policy
- Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures
- Collect money where required
- Load customer returns onto trailer and secure trailer doors
- Ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and/or always secured
- Unload damaged goods and customer returns and complete necessary paperwork
- Perform daily record of hours of service and enter logs in compliance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements
- Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor and loading dock area
- Secure all equipment and complete all paperwork at the end of shift
- Perform other related duties as assigned
