Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
  • 12+ months commercial tractor/trailer experience
  • Valid CDL-A license, must be 21+ years of age
  • Meets all state licensing and/or certification requirements
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
  • Pass post offer drug test and road test
  • Attain or have valid current DOT Health Card or able to secure new DOT Health Card
  • Able to hand-lift and utilize equipment such as two-wheeler, lift gate, to move and stack products ranging from 10-90 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
  • 12+ months commercial tractor/trailer experience
  • Valid CDL-A license, must be 21+ years of age
  • Meets all state licensing and/or certification requirements
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
  • Passes post offer drug test and road test
  • Attains or has valid current DOT Health Card or able to secure new DOT Health Card
  • Ability to hand-lift and operate equipment to move and stack product cases/freight of varying sizes and weights ranging generally from 10-35 pounds up to approximately 60-90 pounds

Job Duties

  • Performs all required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations
  • Reports all safety issues and/or repairs required
  • Follows all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
  • Immediately reports all safety hazards
  • Inspects trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
  • Performs count check of items and checks customer invoices of loaded products
  • Checks and completes all required paperwork associated with freight accurately and legibly
  • Moves tractor to loading dock and attaches preloaded trailer as needed
  • Drives and delivers customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule
  • Unloads products from trailer and transports items into designated customer storage areas
  • Performs damage control checks on items, scans, and contacts supervisor about order removals as per company policy
  • Verifies delivery of items with customer and obtains proper signatures
  • Collects payments where required
  • Loads customer returns on trailer and secures trailer doors
  • Ensures tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and secured
  • Unloads damaged goods and customer returns and completes necessary paperwork
  • Performs daily record of hours of service and logs as per federal DOT, state, and company requirements
  • Performs general housekeeping duties in tractor and loading dock areas
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
