Job Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
- 12+ months commercial tractor/trailer experience
- Valid CDL-A license, must be 21+ years of age
- Meets all state licensing and/or certification requirements
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
- Pass post offer drug test and road test
- Attain or have valid current DOT Health Card or able to secure new DOT Health Card
- Able to hand-lift and utilize equipment such as two-wheeler, lift gate, to move and stack products ranging from 10-90 pounds
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
- 12+ months commercial tractor/trailer experience
- Valid CDL-A license, must be 21+ years of age
- Meets all state licensing and/or certification requirements
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
- Passes post offer drug test and road test
- Attains or has valid current DOT Health Card or able to secure new DOT Health Card
- Ability to hand-lift and operate equipment to move and stack product cases/freight of varying sizes and weights ranging generally from 10-35 pounds up to approximately 60-90 pounds
Job Duties
- Performs all required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations
- Reports all safety issues and/or repairs required
- Follows all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
- Immediately reports all safety hazards
- Inspects trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
- Performs count check of items and checks customer invoices of loaded products
- Checks and completes all required paperwork associated with freight accurately and legibly
- Moves tractor to loading dock and attaches preloaded trailer as needed
- Drives and delivers customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule
- Unloads products from trailer and transports items into designated customer storage areas
- Performs damage control checks on items, scans, and contacts supervisor about order removals as per company policy
- Verifies delivery of items with customer and obtains proper signatures
- Collects payments where required
- Loads customer returns on trailer and secures trailer doors
- Ensures tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and secured
- Unloads damaged goods and customer returns and completes necessary paperwork
- Performs daily record of hours of service and logs as per federal DOT, state, and company requirements
- Performs general housekeeping duties in tractor and loading dock areas
- Performs other related duties as assigned
