Job Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A license
- pass DOT physical
- maintain good motor vehicle report
- high school diploma or GED preferred
- minimum 1 year professional DOT-certified driving experience preferred
- meet FMCSA qualification standards
- knowledge of DOT, OSHA, TOSHA, NHTSA regulations
- able to perform physical demands
- strong communication skills
- dependable and safety oriented
- able to work flexible hours
- reliable attendance
- ability to maintain confidentiality
- ability to follow company policies
Job Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license
- must pass a DOT physical
- good motor vehicle report
- high school diploma or GED preferred
- minimum 1 year of professional driving experience as a DOT-certified driver preferred
- must meet FMCSA Parts 383 and 391 qualification standards
- thorough understanding of DOT, OSHA, TOSHA, NHTSA regulations
- familiarity with FMCSA safe driving, hours of service, inspections, and equipment maintenance rules
- mechanical aptitude
- knowledge of company policies, safety protocols, and loss prevention procedures
- strong organizational and planning skills
- ability to work independently
- effective communication and interpersonal skills
- promote teamwork
- maintain confidentiality
- physically capable of pushing/pulling loads over 50 pounds
- dependable, conscientious, and safety focused
- able to adapt to changing schedules based on business needs
Job Duties
- Support Goodwill's mission, vision, and values through words and actions
- maintain agency, employee, and participant confidentiality
- safely operate semi-trucks and box trucks
- conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report issues
- keep vehicle clean and free of food, drink, tobacco, and electronics while driving
- follow all traffic laws and company driving policies
- adhere strictly to assigned routes with no personal use of vehicles
- load and unload merchandise and donations safely
- secure items to prevent damage during transport
- comply with all safety procedures including PPE and hazardous material protocols
- comply with FMCSA, NHTSA, and company safety standards
- report accidents, damage, or safety concerns promptly
- maintain accurate logs, inspection reports, and paperwork daily
- report on time and follow assigned schedules
- maintain regular and reliable attendance
- work flexible hours as needed
- perform other duties as assigned
