Job Requirements
- class a CDL with tanker endorsement (N)
- verifiable CDL driving experience or recent completion of CDL truck driving school
- tolerate working outside in weather conditions as well as exposure to warm temperatures, noise, and lime dust
- able to access all areas within a site including heights of 50 feet, confined spaces, and climbing ladders or stairs
- able to lift over 40 pounds
- occasional shift work including some weekends and holidays
- be available or volunteer for occasional out of state deliveries
Job Qualifications
- class a CDL with tanker endorsement (N)
- working knowledge of DOT regulations
- excellent fleet mechanical skills
- ability to maneuver fleet equipment in heavy city traffic and remote job locations
- maintain concentration, alertness and attention to detail for extended periods
- ability to resolve issues with limited supervision
- preferred education: high school diploma or GED equivalent
- preferred experience: two years of verifiable CDL driving experience
Job Duties
- deliver slurry shipments in a safe and timely manner
- read and interpret various gauges and instruments used in loading and handling equipment
- analyze and evaluate work conditions and make adjustments to equipment as necessary
- perform equipment inspections in accordance with DOT requirements
- make minor repairs to equipment as needed to maintain fleet operation
- ensure the DOT, safety, TCEQ, and environmental regulations are followed
- educate and train local contractors in the safe handling of quicklime/slurry and emergency medical procedures
