Job Requirements

  • Legally able to work within State and Federal guidelines
  • Completion of Cafe Basics, Certified Trainer, and Crew Leader Training Programs
  • Physical ability to stand and walk continuously during shifts
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to multi-task and work under stress
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Comply with Tropical Smoothie Cafe uniform and personal hygiene policies

Job Qualifications

  • 5 years of food service experience
  • ServSafe certification preferred
  • Strong operational execution skills in FOH and BOH
  • Self-starter with decision-making and solution-creating abilities
  • Previous management or general manager experience preferred but not required
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-change environment
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and supervise staff effectively

Job Duties

  • Deliver unparalleled hospitality to each customer and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Interact with crew members and customers using 'Tropitude'
  • Wear a manager uniform while operating the store
  • Be knowledgeable and proficient in each position within the cafe
  • Recruit, interview, hire, and train new crew members
  • Manage and delegate daily functions including prepping product, making food and smoothies, serving customers, and cleaning
  • Lead and coach assistant managers and staff to uphold brand standards
  • Manage the brand experience including hospitality, quality control, and speed of service
  • Ensure safety and security policies are followed
  • Monitor sales growth and control costs versus budget
  • Lead marketing and promotional campaigns
  • Manage labor to meet staffing and budget goals
  • Manage inventory and par levels
  • Ensure equipment operability to meet brand standards
  • Drive ServSafe compliance and proper food handling
  • Perform any additional tasks necessary to run the store
