Job Requirements

  • prior experience in a supervisory or management role within the bar or hospitality industry
  • strong working knowledge of bar operations, inventory management, and beverage service standards
  • demonstrated leadership, communication, and customer service skills
  • experience with crafting cocktails, wine and spirit knowledge, and staff training
  • familiarity with POS systems, bar inventory software, and related technology
  • TIPS certification or equivalent in responsible alcohol service
  • flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
  • ability to stand for extended periods and move throughout the bar and restaurant areas
  • must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds unassisted

Job Duties

  • support the Restaurant Manager by overseeing bar operations for both the lobby and restaurant service areas
  • assist with daily bar procedures including opening, closing, restocking, and cleanliness of all bar spaces and storage areas
  • maintain compliance with health, safety, and responsible alcohol service standards
  • assist in staff supervision including hiring, training, scheduling, and coaching bartenders and servers
  • help develop and maintain a strong beverage program by contributing to menu updates and specialty cocktail creation
  • ensure team adherence to recipes, portion standards, and presentation expectations
  • provide exceptional guest service and resolve customer concerns or complaints professionally and promptly
  • monitor and control inventory levels, waste, and labor to stay within budget parameters
  • stay current with industry trends and incorporate creative and relevant offerings
  • foster a positive, professional, and collaborative team environment
  • perform other job-related duties as assigned
