Job Requirements

  • must be 18 years of age or older
  • must obtain and hold a food handler's card within 60 days from date of hire
  • must have knowledge of HACCP
  • must have knowledge of health codes and liquor laws
  • must be able to successfully pass a background investigation for a tribal gaming license or permit
  • must be able to work any shift assigned to include days swing grave weekends and or holidays
  • must have a successful employment history with the tulalip tribes and or other employers

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED preferred
  • minimum of two years experience cooking in a high volume batch cooking kitchen
  • minimum of one year experience cooking seafood breakfast and fry cook menu items
  • minimum of one year experience grilling broiling sautéing roasting braising and steaming foods
  • prior experience with re-thermal procedures preferred
  • knowledge of HACCP food safety standards health codes and liquor laws

Job Duties

  • prepare stocks sauces and soups
  • sauté pan-fry poach steam roast grill simmer use wood char broiler wok cook and braise foods
  • properly prepare and cook various meats poultry fish and seafood
  • maintain high standards of quality and appearance in all food prepared and served
  • use convection and holding ovens effectively
  • follow food safety standards and HACCP guidelines
  • work any assigned shifts including weekends and holidays
