Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • food handler permit or ServSafe certification (required in Utah and Idaho)
  • ability to read and communicate effectively in English
  • ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • knowledge of safe food handling practices
  • ability to follow recipes and instructions precisely
  • physical ability to perform tasks including lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in varying temperature environments
  • excellent communication and organizational skills

Job Qualifications

  • Food handler permit or ServSafe certification (required in Utah and Idaho)
  • effective English reading and communication skills
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • safe food handling techniques knowledge
  • workflow prioritization and deadline management skills
  • preferred ability to provide exceptional customer service
  • preferred experience with modified diet food preparation
  • preferred ability to operate commercial cooking equipment

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook food items following recipes and instructions
  • serve customers in various venues including catering, retail outlets, and patient care
  • maintain organized and sanitary working environments
  • prepare bulk food items and assemble specialty meals and catered items
  • maintain proper food quantities with appropriate rotation
  • deliver patient meals, operate cashier register, stock supplies, and use ware-washing machines
  • interact effectively with customers and team members
