Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Valid driver's license
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively (up to 100%)
- Flexibility to work varying shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical capability to perform lifting, bending, standing, and walking for long periods
- Ability to stay overnight during extended travel
- Dependable and able to adapt to frequent changes
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Solid understanding of food handling and safety regulations
- Strong multitasking and adaptability skills
- Dependable and flexible work ethic
Job Duties
- Prepare and assist team members in the preparation of quality foods according to the planned menu, recipes, and work instructions in a timely manner
- Train kitchen staff on food safety protocols, cooking techniques, and operational procedures, ensuring consistency and adherence to quality standards
- Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department policies and procedures
- Clean and maintain a neat and food-safe workstation including cleaning refrigerators, freezers, cooking equipment, and serving equipment
- Maintain cleanliness by pulling trash, sweeping, and mopping kitchen floors
- Function in a fast-paced environment while performing routine kitchen tasks
- Travel extensively (100%) to various correctional facilities, including overnight stays at hotels or extended stay locations
- Assist with the opening of new facilities by training new staff
- Abide by all food safety regulations pertaining to sanitation, food handling, and storage
- Perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods
- Adhere to varying work shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Perform other related duties as assigned
