Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum age of 18 years
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively (up to 100%)
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical capability to perform lifting, bending, standing, and walking for long periods
  • Ability to stay overnight during extended travel
  • Dependable and able to adapt to frequent changes

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Solid understanding of food handling and safety regulations
  • Strong multitasking and adaptability skills
  • Dependable and flexible work ethic

Job Duties

  • Prepare and assist team members in the preparation of quality foods according to the planned menu, recipes, and work instructions in a timely manner
  • Train kitchen staff on food safety protocols, cooking techniques, and operational procedures, ensuring consistency and adherence to quality standards
  • Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department policies and procedures
  • Clean and maintain a neat and food-safe workstation including cleaning refrigerators, freezers, cooking equipment, and serving equipment
  • Maintain cleanliness by pulling trash, sweeping, and mopping kitchen floors
  • Function in a fast-paced environment while performing routine kitchen tasks
  • Travel extensively (100%) to various correctional facilities, including overnight stays at hotels or extended stay locations
  • Assist with the opening of new facilities by training new staff
  • Abide by all food safety regulations pertaining to sanitation, food handling, and storage
  • Perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods
  • Adhere to varying work shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
