Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent GED
- Proven experience in culinary roles
- Technical knowledge of food preparation
- Serve Safe certification
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights and weekends
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks
- Ability to lift heavy objects
- Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor kitchen staff
- Experience with inventory and food ordering
- Capacity to maintain cleanliness and health standards
- Must be self-motivated and detail-oriented
- Capable of multitasking and prioritizing in fast-paced environments

Job Qualifications

- Technical proficiency and verifiable experience in food preparation methods

- Skilled in training, evaluation, motivation, coaching and counseling of staff
- Capable of distributing responsibilities to meet objectives
- Strong problem-solving skills with initiative and sound decision-making
- Detail-oriented and able to multi-task in dynamic environments

- Flexible schedule availability including nights, weekends and long hours
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions
- Clear verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift, push, pull or carry heavy objects
- Good sense of taste and smell
- Must be Serve Safe certified
- Ability to supervise, coach and train employees effectively
- Provides excellent customer service
- Knowledgeable in health and safety standards

Job Duties
- Supervises all line set-up, prep and breakdown activities
- Responsible for in-service delegation of tasks to line personnel
- Assists Executive Chef with kitchen record keeping and administrative requirements including food inventories and ordering
- Organizes employee work schedules ensuring appropriate coverage
- Measures, mixes and cooks ingredients according to recipes
- Uses various kitchen equipment to prepare and serve food
- Maintains a clean kitchen and food production areas ensuring no food debris is present
- Provides ongoing training, mentoring, and assistance to kitchen staff
- Ensures quality, consistency and adherence to recipe specifications and portion controls
- Monitors all food served for appearance, temperature, sanitary and quality standards
- Guides, directs and motivates kitchen employees
- Ensures compliance with food safety standards
- Communicates effectively with supervisors, peers and subordinates
- Makes decisions, solves problems, and prioritizes work efficiently
- Documents personnel discipline and collaborates with Human Resources
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef
