Job Requirements
- Active New York state license
- Skilled nursing facility experience
- Ventilator experience preferred
- Availability for 13-week travel contract
- Ability to work 40 hours per week and 8-hour day shifts
- Willingness to float within 40 miles if needed
- ASAP start date
Job Qualifications
- Licensed Speech Language Pathologist in New York
- Experience in skilled nursing facility settings
- Experience with ventilator patients preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Knowledge of current speech therapy techniques and tools
Job Duties
- Provide speech therapy assessments for residents
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Conduct therapy sessions addressing communication and swallowing disorders
- Monitor patient progress and adjust therapy as needed
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive care
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and compliance with regulations
- Float within a 40-mile radius with paid drive time if required
