Job Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- ability to read, write and speak English language
- physically capable of standing for long hours
- pass background check
- must be able to pass a 'Class C' operator certification
Job Qualifications
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- strong verbal communication skills
- basic knowledge of point of sale systems
- ability to maintain customer focus in a fast-paced environment
- physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds safely
- prior customer service experience preferred
- knowledge of stock control procedures is a plus
- ability to work effectively in a team environment
- basic math skills required for cash handling
Job Duties
- Greet every customer in a quick and courteous manner
- provide a pleasant shopping experience for all customers
- respond to customer inquiries in a timely fashion
- handle all customer complaints according to company policies and procedures
- develop and maintain product knowledge and provide customers with product recommendations
- process customer sales accurately and efficiently using point of sale equipment
- balance tills at the start and end of each shift
- maintain cash drawer levels in compliance with company policies
- receive and stock merchandise according to company policies
- apply FIFO system when receiving or stocking products
- remove and record damaged or out of date stock
- maintain store cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, and cleaning customer service areas
- support teammates and assist new associates in learning job skills
- follow all safety and security procedures to minimize loss and maintain store security
- report unsafe practices or conditions to management
- maintain a clean and safe shopping environment at all times
