Job Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- ability to read, write and speak English language
- physically capable of standing for long hours
- pass background check
- must be able to pass a Class C operator certification
Job Qualifications
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- strong verbal communication skills
- self-motivated with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- previous customer service experience is a plus
- basic knowledge of point of sale equipment
- ability to learn and apply FIFO stock management system
- good teamwork and communication skills
- capable of lifting up to 50 pounds with proper technique
Job Duties
- Greet every customer in a quick and courteous manner
- provide a pleasant shopping experience and respond to customer inquiries in a timely fashion
- handle all customer complaints according to company policies and procedures
- develop and maintain product knowledge and provide customers with product recommendations
- process customer sales accurately and efficiently using point of sale equipment
- perform till balancing at the start and end of each shift
- ensure cash drawer levels are maintained in compliance with company policies and procedures
- receive and stock all merchandise following company policy
- lift up to 50 pounds following proper lifting procedures
- ensure stock is faced up, clean, and presentable
- apply the FIFO system when receiving or stocking any product
- remove and accurately record damaged or out-of-date stock
- follow portion control and quantities of preparation to minimize loss
- maintain full control of the store and its contents at all times using prevention techniques
- follow company policies and procedures for securing the premises upon end of day closure
- maintain a high standard of cleanliness including sweeping, mopping, and cleaning customer service areas
- work effectively with others in a positive, supportive, and cooperative manner
- assist new associates in learning job skills
- communicate any issues or concerns to management in a timely manner
- perform all duties in a safe and responsible manner
- comply with all company safety policies, procedures, and instructions
- report unsafe practices or conditions and follow all safety initiatives
