Job Description
Able SC and The COMET are dedicated to providing accessible and inclusive public transportation services in their community. Able SC focuses on empowering individuals with disabilities through various mobility programs and resources, while The COMET serves as the primary public transit provider offering fixed route and ADA Paratransit services. Together, they aim to ensure that all residents, including older adults and persons with disabilities, have the knowledge and assistance needed to confidently use public transportation systems. This fosters independence, enhances mobility, and improves quality of life for these populations.

Job Requirements
- ability to ride The COMET’s fixed route and or DART services
- ability to deliver effective training on public transportation use
- ability to serve as a positive representative of Able SC and The COMET
- ability to communicate clearly
- ability to work cooperatively with others
- ability to maintain confidentiality
- ability to work independently
- ability to record travel trainings
Job Qualifications
- knowledge of Able SC and The COMET
- experience riding fixed route or ADA Paratransit services
- experience teaching or training others
- ability to communicate effectively

Job Duties
- educate persons with disabilities and older adults on public transportation options
- assist clients in understanding and using fixed route and paratransit services
- conduct one-on-one travel training sessions
- provide bus ride demonstrations and map travel paths
- serve as a positive representative of Able SC and The COMET
- communicate effectively with clients and coworkers
- maintain confidentiality of client information
