Job Requirements
- High school diploma required
- Prefer 2- or 4-year college degree
- Ability to pass comprehensive criminal background check
- Ability to pass thorough urine drug screening
- Minimum of two years sales experience in a performance-driven environment
Job Qualifications
- Passion for travel beyond a hobby
- Availability to work most Saturdays and some evenings
- Successful completion of Travel Consultant Trainee program including travel for training
- Strong sales drive and goal orientation
- Proficiency with multiple computer systems, web browsers, and Microsoft Office
- Ability to type at least 30 words per minute
- Excellent organizational skills and comfort with paperwork
Job Duties
- Sell international and domestic travel packages including cruises, land packages, travel itineraries, air, car, and hotel
- Share knowledge and expertise from personal experiences and education study trips
- Develop long standing relationships with members and build referral and repeat business
- Make appropriate travel recommendations tailored to member expectations
- Cross sell relevant products such as AAA Member Rewards Credit Card and identity theft referrals
- Complete sales goals and participate in ongoing training programs
- Maintain accurate records and manage administrative tasks efficiently
